When password is given in the login screen it takes me to another login screen with the same users, here when giving password it is not taking it.
Tried rebooting, and even resetting password from the first screen these did not help. any help is appreciated.

Reinstalling macOS, as explained in the article, should not remove any personal data.

I am able to reset my password, but still once I login with the new password it is going to another login screen. and same issue happends

okay, no I don't have a backup present.
As long as you don't erase or reformat the disk, only macOS will be reinstalled.
