Another way is to tap and hold on a text message (the actual message itself...not the entire thread in the list of threads in your inbox) and you will get the option to "Copy". Then, in an app like Notes, for example... open a new note and tap on the page and hit "Paste".
Then share the note, and select print.
OR
You could "Paste" to a Pages App (Apple's version of Word) document.

To take a screenshot on the iP7+ click on the home and side button at the same time.
TMK there is no way of printing texts directly but you can copy/paste them to another app or paste them to an email and print that.
You can't, as elcpu noted, print them directly. However, you can use applications such as iMazing (Mac or Windows) to archive your messages to your computer for easy printing.
