how do I reset my password for my locked notes if I can’t remember the old password

You can’t. You can change the password for notes you create going forward, but you can’t reset the password on existing notes. If you can’t remember the password for your encrypted notes, they are unreadable. That’s the entire point of encrypting them to begin with.

Hello julie-ann176!


On your iPhone, go to Settings>Notes>Password. Then click on device password. See if that will allow you to enter into your Notes using device password rather than the notes password.
