No silent mode notification?

This is a huge design flaw in iPhone, it is really difficult to remember that the phone is in silent mode without a notification on top. Is there a way to get this silent mode notification?

If you toggle the switch on/off, you will get a short silent mode icon shown on top of the screen, to show the status.

If you want Apple to change this, you can tell them directly by using the Feedback Link:
