To update to the maximum of iOS 12.5.7, please see: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Hello ~ You will only be able to update to 12.5.7 and not higher. If you require a higher version of iOS you will need a newer iPhone preferably an iPhone 8 or higher. If you choose to purchase a second hand device…which is fine by the way…please take a moment to click on and review these helpful links in order to make an informed purchase…
