I have the annoying black box with white up arrow appearing in upper right hand of every screen.

I have a black box with white up arrow that appears in upper right hand of every screen. I’ve read all several threads and nothing mentioned has eliminated it. The only time the arrow disappears is when I restart iPad… but eventually it finds its way back again… and I want to know what the cause and how to eliminate without having to restart which seems to be a temp fix.
