user permissions

my user name no longer appears in the permissions pane of the get info window in OSX on a couple of my hard drives. Does anyone know the fix?

Permissions mismatch My mac administration is a mess. i have popups of keychain requests from apps i dont use, i cant modify permissions on some folders even though im the admin. i can open the lock sign but sometimes cannot add my user to the permission list. i don't have some important applications there so im thinking about resetting everything and start fresh, but i want to keep my home folder and im afraid to lose this data. i dont want to start a journey of backups. any suggestions?

Username isn't on Sharing and Permissions list for files I was attempting to change the volume indicator sound (volume.aiff) in the Resources folder, but I didn't have permission because it's read only. So I went to 'Get Info' and scrolled to 'Sharing and Permission' but my username wasn't listed. I unlocked the file via the padlock, hit the + to add myself and my Mac tells me I don't have permission to do that either. Upon further exploration I don't even have full permission access to my hard drive and I can't add myself there either. Anyone know how to fix this? I did reset NVRAM and tried creating a new user account as well.

My permission settings are being reset every time I restart my Mac Here is an example from Magnet, but it's not just magnet, it's almost every app Apple M1 Mac Mini, 16 GB Ventura 13.0.1 (22A400)

There is nothing abnormal about this.

The default permissions on external drives are typically

System
Admin
Everyone

Had you set specific permissions for your user name on these drives?
