Can't delete old Windows-device from my Apple ID

I have a moment 22...

I tried to activate the new "Advanced Data Protection", but got an error saying I have to first update or delete some old devices from my Apple ID that wasn't supported. I deleted a bunch of old Windows devices (shown because of iCloud), but one is stuck and can't be deleted.

When I click the Windows-device it says "Device Not Found. The device you selected is no longer associated with your account". The other Windows-devices could be deleted without issues, but not this one.

I tried deleting it from my iPhone, iPad and browsers but same error. Not sure what I can do more since the device is recycled >5 years ago and can't activate the new data protection features until this is deleted.

Here's how I solved this, YMMV. (I'm not responsible if you delete stuff you didn't want to or if your account is compromised etc. etc.) Sign into appleid.apple.com, go to the devices tab. Open your browser's dev tools (I used Chrome) and go to the network tab, and reload the page to actually see new network requests. Click on the device that you want to delete. In your network tab there should now appear a GET request at the very bottom where the server returned HTTP status code 401 (at least it did for me and that's why iCloud didn't allow me to delete it, because it couldn't fetch any info on the device for whatever reason). Right click on it, hover over "copy" and then click on "copy as fetch". Switch to the console tab of dev tools, paste the HTTP request you just copied and change its HTTP method from GET to DELETE. Leave everything else the same. Press enter to actually execute the request and the device should now be deleted from your Apple ID.
