There are other remotes that can also work with Apple TV 4K.

Select IR remotes can control Apple TV. E.g. the old style Apple Remote (aluminium), or a universal remote, or a programmable TV remote, or a third party remote made for Apple TV.
Software/network remotes can control Apple TV. E.g. the software remote on iPhone.
