installed iCloud for windows but can't log in

I have installed iCloud for windows on windows 11 but can't login. When I do I get a small window appears with a red circle with an X in it. I have tried reinstalling iCloud but i still get the same. The id is correct as i used it to log in here.

I got help from Apple support and they showed me this article with the answer.

There's a link to a reddit post where the download link is for a version of icloud that works with the newer verison of windows 11.
