Apple TV model A1427 not able to log into iTunes

Hi there folks.

My Apple TV A1427 will not log into iTunes anymore. All network functions test OK, I have performed both a reset and a restore on the device.

I have also logged into my accounts to ensure this device is no longer registered. I have two Apple IDs which both work via Apple and Android phones. When I attempt to log into iTunes, I submit my USER iD and password. The screen then moves to MFA and waits for the 6 digit code. When I submit the code, the screen spins and results with the Error " iCloud Services are unavailable "

Thanks so much for the reply.

I followed other threads on the subject and restored my Apple TV device using USB and cable from PC. Once I did that, it was able to be programmed by my iPhone 8 !!

Everything worked except logging into iCloud. I also tried moving from Auto Network to Manual settings, no change.

What I have determined is, now I can log into iTUNES on the device !

I still receive the iCloud Services not available however those services are not important to me.

At least my iTunes library works now.

So to recap, the device reset and restore function did not work.

The restore from PC iTunes allowed me to register the devi e and link it to iTunes.

ICloud does not work, which is fine for me.

Hope this helps someone in the future?.

Are you able to log in using another device? If yes, then there shouldn't be an issue with the iCloud server. Let's make sure that your Apple TV is updated to the latest software: Update your Apple TV


Also, here's an article with some additional steps you can try: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services
