What is the colored bar between the low and high temperature in the 10 day forecast area?
iPhone SE, iOS 16
The colored bar is a visual representation of the temperature swing for the day.. and then also the temperature range as compared to the rest of the days in the 10 day forecast..
Does that make sense?
Or maybe I can try to work up an example..
Say Day1 low/high is 25/55
Day2 40/50
Day3 45/60
Day4 35/40
.....
Of the 10 days, the lowest of the lows is 25 and the highest of the highs is 60.
So the less visible bar range will have a total span of 35 degrees. This will be used as the background reference for all the daily bars.
Then for each day, say day2, you'll get a more visible bar overlaid on that total span of 25 to 60.. of 40-50.
What this allows is from a quick glance, you can see visually how all the lows/highs in the forecast compare relative to the other days.
