Play a track without copying it and storing it

Hello and thanks for reading

I'm a video content creator using FCP. I use Epidemic Music, and other sites to find music for videos. I might download 20 possible tracks for a video I'm creating. While I'm creating the video I need to preview the tracks, so I double click and it loads into Apple Music.

The challenge is Apple Music makes a copy of the track into the Media folder.

After a month or so I have a 30, 40 GB media folder, which I have to delete and then download all my actual purchased music.

Is there a way to stop this behaviour?

Sure I can import all 20 tracks into FCP but then my bundle file has all the tracks I pre selected and it consumes more space than it should.
