We got air tags for our kids & pets. Why is there not an option to have us both connect to the air tag if we are set up as family on all our devices? We would both like to be able to track our dog if lost & if other is out of service range or unable to do at that moment (at work, etc) are you just out of luck?
Airtags are tied to one Apple ID and can't be shared.
They are not made or marketed as pet or people trackers.
They are meant to keep track of items you carry with you on your person that you might drop or lose.
We got one to track my keys, a car, and our cat. It will give you the approximate location of moving objects and when you get close, direction. If you want someone else to be able to check (such as your spouse), give them your appleID and password.
