No, that will not work with the 2012/2013 model (A1427/A1469).
The Siri Remotes are compatible with Apple TV (4th generation or later).

Apple TV (3rd generation) will need the old style Apple Remote (aluminum).
Apple stopped selling those. Several third party resellers may still have some (e.g. Amazon, eBay).
