Reminders Assigning

So when I assign a reminder, say to a coworker, that is dated today it shows up in my "today" list even though it's assigned to somebody else. Is there a way around that?

Hello jarrod11,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you're viewing the Today list on your Mac in reminders, but only want to see what's assigned to you, right?

If we have this correct, you would need to view the Assigned to Me list as opposed to the Today list. The Today list would include all reminders that are in your list that are due today, so this is why you would see the reminders that are assigned to someone else. For more details on this, check out the following details, which can also be found here: View reminder lists on Mac - Apple Support

The sidebar includes several standard Smart Lists you can use to filter your reminders and access them quickly:

• Today: The Today Smart List shows reminders that are due today and reminders that are overdue.

• Flagged: The Flagged Smart List shows all reminders that have a flag. You can use flags to make important reminders stand out.

• Scheduled: The Scheduled Smart List shows reminders that have a due date specified. The reminders are grouped by date.

• All: The All Smart List shows all reminders in all accounts. The reminders are grouped by reminder lists.

• Completed: The Completed Smart List shows all your completed reminders.

• Assigned to Me: The Assigned to Me Smart List shows all reminders assigned to you from a shared reminder list.

Note: All Reminders features described in this guide are available when using upgraded iCloud reminders. Some features aren’t available when using accounts from other providers.

We hope that's able to help. If you're looking for assistance with viewing this on an iPhone instead, check out the details here: Search and organize lists in Reminders on iPhone - Apple Support
