Error Finding App Store Connect Credentials

Hi all! I got an unexpected error message when I am trying to distribute app to TestFlight.

The error:

Error Finding App Store Connect Credentials.

App Store Connect access for <account_name> is required. Ensure that your Apple ID account usernames and passwords are correct in the Accounts preference pane. Please try again, and if issue persists file a bug report at "https://feedbackassistant.apple.com."

What I have tried:

1. Updated MacOS and Xcode to the latest versions.

2. Created a new provisioning profile.

3. Signed out and signed in with my Apple ID.

Can anyone help me understand what is wrong and what is a possible solution? Thanks in advance.

The problem occurs on a client project and is very relevant.

First, check developer status: System Status - Apple Developer (and outages are listed today, too)

Then log into the developer portal, and see if there’s some new agreement awaiting your affirmation.

Then check with Apple Developer support: Support - Apple Developer

Based on the developer status, it’s quite possibly a problem at Apple’s end.
