Mac OS Ventura: How to disable the autosave?

In previous operating systems, there was the option in the Preferences:

General

-> Ask to keep changes when closing documents

that I used to disable the autosaving.

Where can I find the same in MacOS Ventura? Apparently it is not there...

Thanks for help.

In Ventura, you can find this setting at System Settings > Desktop & Dock > scroll down to Windows & Apps

However, this setting has never disabled Autosave.

It is now in the Settings > Desktop & Dock panel under Windows & Apps.

You know what to do…

If this is working in Ventura, there will be a block dot that remains in the red traffic light on the title bar that does not disappear as it would with a functional autosave. And quitting the document will pop a dialog offering to save the document contents or lose it.
