I'm having trouble getting my new and old messages to show up on my Mac. I'm on the same iCloud account on both my phone and computer and the best I can do is hit Sync Now, I see the Downloading Messages from iCloud at the bottom of my message app on my computer and then eventually nothing really happens.

Make sure Messages is enabled in your iCloud settings! Also, on your iPhone, go to Settings< Messages<Text Message Forwarding and choose your devices there! I had this problem and these solutions worked.
