can't change country due to itunes match subscription

I have an iTunes match subscription which I canceled immediately after I subscribed realizing it doesn't sync well. Now I'm in a different country and need to change my iPhone's country setting and it will not let me without cancelling the subscription to iTunes match. The problem is I've already canceled it. But the subscription lasts until August 2023 and it won't let me change my country. It appears there's no solution! I need to change my country and I can't due to this subscription that cannot be removed. Please assist.
