M1 MacBook Pro battery

I have a MacBook Pro 2021 M1 that I purchased in January of this year. macOS Monterey. I purchased it to ostensibly replace my aging MacPro 5,1 (altho I do still use this one daily.). Because of the way I’ve used it, I never take it out remotely. I have another MacBook Pro 2019 that I use that way. So this M1 MacBook Pro has been plugged in all the time, hardly ever used on the battery. I have a Dell 32" display hooked up to it as well via the HDMI port.

About 3-4 weeks ago I unplugged it for no reason other than to see what the battery would read while using it. Well, it states that the battery is 93% charged and it is currently charging, despite the fact that it’s not plugged into the charger! Hmm.

I don’t see any battery maintenance routines as with previous Intel-based MBPros, so I have no idea how to troubleshoot this.

Any suggestions for an M1 MacBook Pro?

You Should Get the Battery Replace:

Go Here: If your Mac battery won't charge - Apple Support

Perhaps this is a Faulty Device?

If the above link is of no success, then contact Apple Support, and have them take a look at your Mac. You have a one-year out-of-the-box limited-warranty. So make use of it, if you have the option.  Apple would send you a box; you'd ship the Macout to them; they'll ship it back to you fixed anew.

Apple Phone Support:

Note: Waiting on the phone may take a bit, due to high call volumes. So, just stay on the line, and they'll be with you :)
