Downloaded iOS 16 on MacBook Pro

I downloaded iOS 16 on my MacBook Pro 13. My Mac is up to date with OS Ventura. This iOS 16 download has wreaked havoc on my Mac (freezes up, super slow, pretty much unusable for my many tasks to accomplish).

How do I fix this this craziness? I know better but my Mac offered me this option. (????)

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

That reponse is worse than the original concern, iOS, to my knowledge, simply does not run on a Mac computer.

So, first, check in Applications and see if you have something called "install Mac OS or iOS" sitting there and post exactly what it says.

Then go to the Apple and go to about this Mac and do a screenshot of the first couple of lines telling us what version it is actually running.

Hi Leroy,

I did call APPLE and they said that MacBook's 'preference' is no more but it is called 'system settings' to deliver a better interface between iPhones and MacBook laptops. I've never heard of this; my MacBook looks exactly like my iPhone 'settings'.

He did say the downloading of iOS 16 was pretty unheard of..... ha!

He had me open Safari (which is not my browser) and thought that everything was running smoothly and that we had too many business laptops running on one house router plus to have a laptop to freeze up one time is no big deal.

Anyhow, I guess MacBooks are supposed to look like iPhone now.

He did not uninstall the downloaded iOS 16 and said all was OK.

Interesting! Thanks again for responding!
