MDM allows control over some settings, but is not in any way a Remote Desktop with access to contents. And it requires advance installation of a management profile.
If there is a management profile then you need the MDM login credentials. There is no default, it is what you or an admin set.
Sorry Lawrence but it does. You have to use a Mobile Device Management (MDM) Provider. For Apple, it is Essentials; there are other Providers. I am using VMWare, which is one of many.
Lawrence, this is not Remote Desktop. It is Remote Management which allow apps to be downloaded to the phone, since it is being linked to Apple Business Manager (ABM) and MDM Provider. An MDM profile was added to the ABM so it an communicate with all the phone in the ABM.
