How to update my iPhone 6 Plus

That is because the message on your phone tells you that your iPhone is up to date....as far as its capability.

The iPhone 6 Plus is not qualified to receive any more updates.

The non-technical reason for this is that your iPhone 6 is too old. Technically, the iPhone 6 Plus does not have the RAM or storage capacity to run newer iOS systems. Even if you could install iOS 15......(you can't).....your iPhone would run so slow that it would be unusable.

Frankly, if your iPhone 6 Plus is still working OK, you have had really excellent service from the product.

If you want to run newer iOS systems like iOS 15 or iOS 16, you need a new phone.

Not sure what you mean by very poor service. This is not chat. This is a user-to-user site. We are all users, just like you who have volunteered to help other users. Apple is not here. Sometimes, it takes 15-20 minutes or longer for someone to see your post and respond.

Unless you have not updated your phone in some time, the iPhone 6 Plus probably already has the most recent update installed.

If the message indicates that your iPhone software is up to date, there are no more updates available for your iPhone 6 Plus

However, if an update is available, you can tap to install the new software.

An iPhone 6/6plus can't be updated beyond 12.5.6, it doesn't have the hardware needed to run anything higher.

If you need a higher iOS version, you will have to purchase a newer phone.

An iPhone 6 Plus isn't capable of 13 or above. To install 12.5.6, use a computer or the Software Update function in Settings.
