Cinematic video filmed on iPhone appear black when imported to iMovie on ipad

Cinematic video clips dropped into iMovie on ipad appear black, but the audio plays. The clips were filmed in cinematic mode on iPhone. How to I resolve this?

Hey there Lsaps, 


What version of iPadOS is installed on your iPad? If you are using iOS 16 on your iPhone but not iPadOS 16, you will not be able to edit the video.


Use Cinematic mode on your iPhone   


To edit Cinematic mode videos recorded on iOS 16, you must use iOS 16, iPadOS 16, or macOS Ventura or later. iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura will be available in October.
