MacOS Ventura : HP printer / Scanner not working properly

Hi all,

So I updated my Mac with the new OS.

Big mistake because my printer, an HP M476dw that was working perfectly beforehand isn't any more. (connected via Wifi to my ISP's box).

I can still print, but the scanner can't be launched anymore. The little scanner image in the queue window is greed out. Same goes in the System preferences under printer.

If I want it to work I have to remove the printer from the system settings and recreate it. It then works as it should for a few minutes and dies again. Not sure what causes this and what the solution for the could be.

Resetting the printer to factory settings didn't do anything. Rebooting my router didn't either.

I'm a bit lost on what I can do to fix this issue. Any idea would be welcome...

Thanx :)

they don't seem to support vantura yet HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476 series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support

you can try their Monterey software to see if that help, and or you can contact hp as to a timeframe for a new driver if they plan on supporting that model for newer macOS versions
