Does m1 works with eGPU
Got a m1 2021 iMac and a Razer Core X, does this work if I get an AMD GPU?

I don't think that M1 macs support eGPU.

Is your 3D modelling application built as a native application for Apple Silicon?
If you are using an intel version, you may get a substantial improvement just by going native.
If you are using Blender, the current version, 3.3.1, exists in two separate builds, for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
