iMac 2010
Hi
I have an iMac 2010 model which when I start it up it has a white screen with a flashing file with a question mark in it?
I literally can’t go any further than that. I can’t reinstall anything etc etc.
any ideas?
thank you. Lins

Basically the computer is telling you, "Please replace me, I'm old, tired, obsolete and am on life support" Your 2010 iMac has zero commercial value, parts are not available and well as you have stated, it will not fully start up.
Thank you but as I said it won’t let me do anything
You're welcome. Well, I assume it doesn't prevent you from trying step 1. If that doesn't work, you're left with step 4.
