Camera app drains battery while asleep

I have a IPhone 14 pro. I went to bed at 05:00 with 53% battery, closed all apps and have always on display off, woke up at 10:00 with a dead phone, it was off and at 0%. Turns out (see print screens below) the camera app drained the whole iPhone in less than 3 hours while having only 1 minute screen on time. How is this possible? I didn’t charge it during sleep because normally this is not needed with more than half of the battery. I have the phone for a week now.

Hello SunnyFly,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We recommend updating the software to help with this. Apple has released a new version of the software (iOS 16.1) that should improve the performance of the device and help resolve your issue. The steps to get updated are located in the Apple Support article: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

"Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

  1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
  5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

If this issue persists after updating, get in touch with Apple Support for additional assistance:
