If your iPad is new enough, Apple store locations do not do any repairs of iPads, but onny offer device replacements.

Apple will offer a device replacement, in lieu of an actual device teardown and batteey replacement.

The battery service fee, I still believe, is $99 U.S.D., plus tax.

Your iPad contains no user-serviceable parts. Apple does not supply spare parts or batteries for iPad outside of its network of Apple Authorised Service Providers (AASPs) - or for retail sale.

You can Google for genuine replacement battery but I would not be sure it is a genuine Apple battery..
