Do i need to charge first new iphone before using

Unlike older batteries that used nickel–cadmium, the latest lithium-ion batteries in most iPhones nowadays do not require you to fully charge your new iPhone before use.

You can immediately use it, or topup the charge if you need to for the new iPhone.

While there is no requirement to charge for any specific amount of time when first setting up the phone, it would be wise to leave it connected to the charge circuit during the initial setup or any software update.

You can use the phone without charging it all the way. However, you should plug your phone in to charge every night. You cannot overcharge the phone.
