App Store Download permissions out of sync with Apple Id

My family just migrated from using a single Apple ID to separate Apple IDs under a single family. I am trying to download new apps on the App Store. Clicking on the profile button on the top right in the App Store shows my new Apple ID, but when I try to download something it asks for 2 factor auth from my father’s phone. For context, my Apple ID does not have my father’s phone as a trusted device. In addition, when I click ‘forgot my password’ from that prompt it shows my father’s Apple ID. There seems to be some disconnect between my Apple ID and the Apple ID the App Store is using to download applications. Not sure what the path forward for this looks like. Any help appreciated 👍
