I have received sim from my friend and have topped up in foreign country, therefore I wish to change my default number

To change your phone number, you need to contact your cellular voice provider. Alternately, if you have an additional SIM card, you can "change numbers" by swapping out the SIM cards.

Sim card When you’re in another country, buy & insert a sim card… then at one point it asks whether you want to use the primary or other account(I can’t remember with the other choice was)…. Is the sim card then the “primary”?

Thanks for your update.

I am not in same country as my original SIM was registered for my iMessage.

Therefore if I remove my active SIM and insert original SIM then on iPhone it may or may not recognise original SIM number.

I will test it and update you
