Battery percentage

I they said when you upgrade to iOS 16 you will be able to view your battery percentage without sliding down from control center

but my iPhone XR isn’t showing my battery percentage I have upgraded it

It isn't available on the XR model.

Battery percentage is only available on the following iPhones:

iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.iPhone X.

Just swipe down from the top-right corner of your display. With iOS 16, you can turn on the battery percentage so it appears in your status bar. Go to Settings > Battery, and turn on Battery Percentage.

Parts and service history

With iOS 15.2 and later and iPhone XR, iPhone XS models, and later—including iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)—you can go to Settings > General > About for the parts and service history of your iPhone. You can also find out if the battery has been replaced. If the replacement was done using genuine Apple parts and processes, "Genuine Apple Part" will appear next to Battery.
