I can't see my battery percentage on my iPhone xr

Your iPhone XR cannot display the battery percentage in the menu bar, hence why it doesn't appear as an option.
From the support article (Show the battery percentage on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support)-
iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 13 mini don't display battery percentage in the status bar.
How to add battery percentage on Iphone?

On an iPhone with Face ID: Swipe down from the top-right corner. On an iPhone with a Home button: Go to Settings > Battery, then turn on Battery Percentage.
Dear SravanKrA - This doesn't work. You are wrong. It's not an option.
And I was trying to click that this was NOT helpful, but it only turned on that it was helpful, and there is apparently not a way to change that.
The only way to see the battery percentage on an iPhone XR is to swipe down from the top right to open the control center.
