Apple trade

My iPhone 13 pro max is only 1 month old and is there a trade in rule saying that I can just trade in this to the new iPhone without any payment?

If you purchased it directly from Apple, you have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. Only items that have been purchased directly from Apple, either online or at an Apple Retail Store, can be returned to Apple. Apple products purchased through other retailers must be returned in accordance with their respective returns and refunds policy. Some retailers have a more generous return policy. But you cannot just trade it in for a newer model. You would have to return the 13 then purchase the 14.
