Forgot passcode

I’ve tried my best to find out how to reset my passcode without a computer, or erasing my iPhone and having to,set it up again. Is there an easier way?

iPhone 11, iOS 15

If your device has iOS 15.2 or later installed, check out this link→How to reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when you forgot your passcode - Apple Support. Otherwise:

See this Apple support link→If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

Or watch this companion video ⬇️

After restoring the phone using one of the methods above you can restore your most recent backup.

Sorry, the penalties for forgotten passcodes are painful. The only way at this point is to erase / reset the phone and start over again with a new setup.

If your iPhone is running iOS 15.2 or higher........you can use the instructions linked just below:

If your iPhone is not running iOS 15.2 or higher........please use the instructions linked below, but note that you must use a PC or Mac.

If you have a backup of the phone, you can use the backup to restore the data on the phone during the new setup.

It might be a good idea to write down the passwords, passcodes, etc that you were sure that would never be forgotten and keep them in a safe place.
