How do get iPad (9th Gen) and iPhone (8 Plus) to sync

Hi

When I delete text messages or photos from one device, it doesn't delete from the other. How do I get them both to sync so I don't have to delete twice.

Thanks

iPhone 8 Plus

On both devices, make sure Messages and Photos are turned on on both devices.

This does require both devices to be on the same Apple ID.

Go to Settings App > At the top - Your Name, Apple ID, iCloud, etc > Tap iCloud > Make sure Messages and Photos are turned on
