installing 3rd party software on new Apple Monterey OS V12.5

In the past I would have to go to the security panel and grant my OS permission to install a 3rd party program. Now after upgrading to Monterey V 12.5, I just get an error "the application un-scan-it gel 6.3app" can't be opened error -47

There is no opportunity to give permission to install.

Error installing Kontakt 5.0.3 (from Studio Kit Builder Vir2) on Intel Mac running macOS Monterey 12.5 I have a legal, purchased copy of Studio Kit Builder, Vir2. It has a copy of Kontakt 5.03 that I am trying to install. However, whenever I install Kontakt 5.03 on my Intel Mac running macOS Monterey 12.5, it gets about 50-60 percent done with the installation when I get the error “The installation failed.” “The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.” I think it has something to do with permissions, but I am not sure how to get around that issue. Thanks!

Packages from unknown developers Hi I am trying to install a scientific data analysis software package developed by a US academic institute. Before reinstalling macOS Ventura in my laptop, I could install and run this package without a problem. After reinstalling Ventura, OS does not allow me to grant a blanket security exemption for this package. OS asks me to grant an exemption for each and every individual file in the package ("xxx.y was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer, allow any way?" ). Since the software package contain hundreds of individual supporting files, practically it is almost impossible to do this. Is there a way to grant a blanket exception for the whole package instead of doing it individually for each and every file? MA

Control (right) - click on the app and click on the Open button in the window that appears. Then click again on the Open button in the next window and it'll be good to go from then on.
