Skin cancer caused by Apple watch

I am not the only person to ask about this. I just had the spot tested and removed by my doctor. I even left the Apple Watch off for months and the spot grew, so don’t tell me it’s in my head an gaslight me saying it’s an allergic reaction, like I’ve seen in other comments about this issue. Now I look like someone put their cigar out on my wrist.

Apple Watch Causing Skin Cancer I just found out I have squamous cell carcinoma in the exact same spot as other people in this forum. I know it is anecdotal, but seems to be a bit coincidental to me. Is Apple doing anything about this? A simple search found over 10 instances of what I have, in the exact same spot. It is not a rash as I thought, it is a form of skin cancer.

Rash from Apple Watch After wearing my Apple Watch for almost 2 years, I’ve developed an itchy rash, just in the area of the metal circle piece on the end of the band where the Watch closes. It’s the size of a Quarter. I switched to my other wrist to see what would happen, and the same thing happened, only much faster…within two days. I’ve always been very diligent about cleaning the Silicone band, and have never had a reaction to Silicone in my life…and trust me, it’s been a long one! Has anyone else experienced this?

Severe Rash from Apple Watch Ultra 2 Use I purchased an Apple Watch Ultra 2 with a standard band in December 2024. After wearing the watch daily for approximately four weeks, I developed a severe rash on the backside of my wrist. The area of my wrist where the band made contact initially darkened (I am Black), appearing burnt in texture. Despite adjusting the fit—tightening the band to prevent movement—the irritation worsened within 1.5 weeks, resulting in broken skin. The affected area now looks severely damaged, with peeling skin that resembles a skin disease. I have been an Apple Watch user for many years and have never experienced any allergic reactions or skin issues with previous bands. This reaction appears unique to the material of the Ultra 2’s band. I stopped wearing the watch immediately after noticing the worsening condition of my wrist. I allowed my skin to heal naturally, but it remains in poor condition with visible peeling and discoloration. As anyone else had a similar experience?
