Sending large video from my iPhone by either text or email

I have my iPhone plugged in and I’m on WiFi but when I try to send a large video, it says “you may want to wait until your plugged in and on WiFi”.

Because Wi-Fi is turned off when the phone sleeps, unless it is plugged in, so if the large video takes a long time and the phone goes to sleep the send will be interrupted. But for some reason either it doesn’t see you are connected to power or your Wi-Fi connection is unstable.
