Youtube apple tv link problems

Due to burn in from the youtube app (apple please give us an option to remove the youtube logos on oled tv or a shift to prevent the rows (this not as bad on burn in)) i started to use the iPhone youtube link. All i need to do i click the video and it okays avoiding the youtube gui completely….It works great! …well mostly, when it works. if i put the phone down it bugs out. If the phone lock screen pops up it either jumps videos or switches to the iphone playing the video. Anyone know how to fix it so that the phone locking wont bug the link out?
