Weird Message

I received an odd message via text about an Apple ID code and then I received another via email. I never requested anything of sorts. Did anyone else get a similar message?

Or somebody is sending out false (phishing) messages, seeking to get you to click on and enter your credentials at a faked Apple ID login portal.

Someone may be trying to sign your Apple ID, which would generate the request for a verification code. Since you have 2 Factor Authentication enabled, as long as they can't access one of your trusted devices, they can't get a code, and sign in. You should be okay.
