Which version of iOS is currently running on your iPhone 6 Plus? If the version is iOS 12.5.5 then you are running the current version for that model of the iPhone. An iPhone 6 Plus cannot be updated higher than iOS 12.5.x. due to its hardware limitations.

Since your iPhone does not support the latest version of iOS you can not update past iOS 12.5.5. For info on how to get to that update if you are below it you can use this guide.
