Apple Music glitching when watching Netflix on Safari


Whenever I’m streaming on a site like Netflix on Safari, if I go to the music app, the display bar disappears along with the top menu bar and the dock. The whole screen then starts to glitch in an alarming way.

I am using 2020 27" iMac (3.3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5, 40 GB 2133 MHz DDR4) running OS Monterey.

Everything is up to date. Repeatedly happens but only with Netflix and apple music..was wondering if anyone else has similar experience and has a solution.

You may be able to isolate this behavior by using safe mode and testing in a new user. You can find steps for both below.

These steps can help you determine if this issue is specific to macOS or software and settings on your specific user. If the behavior persists, especially if it persists with one website only, it may be necessary to reach out to Netflix for additional assistance.
