Not Receiving texts

My iPad is not receiving texts but my iPhone is receiving the texts. Why?

Assuming you are using the same Apple ID on both devices:


On your iPhone open Settings App > Tap Messages > Tap Text Message Forwarding > Make sure your iPad is checked.
