Video Poster Frame is Upside Down

I have two videos that I recorded with my iPhone 12 mini. When I import them into Keynote, the poster frame is always upside down. As soon as the video plays, the orientation is corrected. I'm guessing Keynote is not properly reading the metadata for the extracted image it uses for the poster? It's not just the first frame, but any frame I select as the poster.

As a workaround, I've added a build-out transition of a rectangle blocking the image that I move through as soon as the video starts. Anyone else seen anything like this?

I also encountered this problem. I think the issue is the file type, when I used .mov, the frame would always be upside-down. When I converted to .mp4, the issue seemed to be fixed. I hope this will work out for you.
