Recently bought a pre-owned iPhone 8 from someone, but now I canât find the âSoftware Updateâ option under General. Is there something wrong with the phone? Or there a way I can get this option to appear again? The phone is on iOS 14.8.1 I want to upgrade to iOS 15.5

It's possible that you bought a company-owned phone that is managed by that company. See if there is anything listed under Settings -> General -> Profiles & Device Management or VPN & Device Management.
If any profiles are listed, then the person who sold you the phone was probably not authorized to do so.

Thereâs no VPN configuration or profile. Is it possible to clean out and restart the phone so I can get these settings back?
