Software Update

Recently bought a pre-owned iPhone 8 from someone, but now I can’t find the “Software Update” option under General. Is there something wrong with the phone? Or there a way I can get this option to appear again? The phone is on iOS 14.8.1 I want to upgrade to iOS 15.5

iPhone 8, iOS 14

It's possible that you bought a company-owned phone that is managed by that company. See if there is anything listed under Settings -> General -> Profiles & Device Management or VPN & Device Management.

If any profiles are listed, then the person who sold you the phone was probably not authorized to do so.
