" When you connect your iPhone to a Mac with macOS 10.11 or later, you might need to update the software on your Mac for it to recognize your iOS device." Don't want to upgrade beyond Mojave. Will this upgrade do that?

Got an iPhone 8 (SE)...I want to download photos...I'm told an update is required for Mac to connect to iPhone....We use Mojave 10.14.6...This update won't move us beyond Mojave will it?

No, it will not. It's a minor update to allow the Mac to talk to the iPhone.

Click the affirmative to allow the update. It takes about a minute to complete and does not require a restart.
