how to reboot a MacBook Pro mid - late 2009 13" whose operating system has been erased

I was updating my MacBook Pro 2009 (mid-late) 13" and it kept loading forever. I deleted the update but my MacBook froze for ever. I pressed the power button to hard shutdown since I could not do anything else. When I turning it back on it would not load. I restore rebooted and tried the bootable usb trick with no luck. I do not have the disks to reboot the system so I am lost. do I have to buy the snow leopard disks or is there a way to use my iMac late 2011 21.5" to reboot it? please help

thank you

Find an Install Disk on Amazon or eBay.

These disks are getting harder and harder to come by. So, get the as soon as you can.

Yes, I tried repairing the start up disk which seems like there is none. Ithe El Capitan update deleted everything. All that comes up now is a flashing folder with a ? on it. I tried every button combination to reboot restart and factory reset and none of it worked. I even tried to do the command in terminal to restart the scan desk and that still didn’t work I’m at a loss. I also made a bootable usb and tried to download the Mac OS but no matter how accurately I followed the how to, it would not reboot. Now I’m stuck w this screen.

"how to reboot a MacBook Pro mid - late 2009 13" whose operating system has been erased: they have it for wicked expensive. One was 35, another 42 ish and believe it or not a cpl at 71 dollars. eBay take a week to get it but it’s only about 20. I meant to say unfortunately I have been searching for weeks…sry"

No need to apologize :)

Seems those sold in an instant.

Finding a Snow Leopard Disk:

Maybe look at a goodwill store. Or put a post on CraigsList, offering a trade for one. Make sure it is a newly-packed item.
